Balai Rock Residents – Holy Week Diving 2013, Day 1 – Balai Resort Anilao on Mar 28, 2013 @ 12:47Trying out my new INON lenses. This collage is of creatures found in Balai’s house reef, a steady slope, mostly sandy, and marked by a huge rock (aptly called Balai Rock) submerged at roughly 15 feet. This is my “go to” reef for trying out new gadgets because of its accesibility – an easy shore entry just in front of the resort – and abundance of fantastic creatures, big and small, waiting to be photographed and uber photogenic!
Caterpillar underwater – Balai Resort Anilao on Mar 29, 2013 @ 05:51Fireworm is the more appropriate term for these caterpillar-looking creature. Never touch with your bare hands, if you see one, or you will get an excruciating burning sensation. Fireworms live under rocks, underwater, and can grow up to 10 inches long. The one on this photo is about 6 inches.
Coral – Balai Resort Anilao on Mar 29, 2013 @ 05:52Interesting corals. They look like alien life forms and can be very pretty or very ugly, but alway make you wonder at their form.
